Draft policy
Privacy and safety
A plain-language outline for the project’s initial website and future public map submissions.
Future submissions
A future reporting form may collect a map location, activity category, description, optional image and optional contact details. This initial website does not collect or store reports.
Protect residential privacy
Do not submit exact residential details, identify private individuals or include personal information in descriptions or images. Locations should relate to shared public spaces.
Moderated public entries
Future public map entries will be reviewed before publication. Content may be generalised, withheld or removed to protect privacy, safety and accuracy.
Personal information
Personal contact information will not be displayed on the public map. Any future collection and retention process will be documented before submissions open.
Not an emergency service
Urban Care Project is an independent community initiative, not an emergency service, council program or official reporting channel.
Dangerous or urgent situations
Call Triple Zero (000) for emergencies. Hazards, dangerous waste, asbestos, abandoned vehicles, injured wildlife and official council matters should be reported directly to the relevant qualified organisation or authority.
